Job Title: Financial Analyst-Sr Associate

Role Overview:

The Senior Revenue Recognition Associate plays a key role in ensuring that revenue recognition aligns with applicable accounting standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to verify revenue recognition compliance with relevant accounting principles.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in quarterly and annual external audits, providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Nurture internal relationships within the organization, including Operations, General Ledger Accounting, IT, etc.
  • Perform various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Accountable for special projects assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce with 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting.
  • Public Accounting or professional services experience highly preferred.
  • CA/CPA certification or pursuing a CA/CPA designation is advantageous.

Essential Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Workday experience is an asset.
