Enterprise Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Security Specialist to join our team at Workato. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and securing our cloud-based business systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and remaining up-to-date on Workato security measures, policies, and practices as well as industry trends and evolving standards.
  • Providing guidance, policies, and recommendations to internal teams on security best practices for systems and applications.
  • Administering, setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting as needed internal business security applications.
  • Authoring scripts, tools, and Workato-based automations to streamline security operations.
  • Monitoring access to and activity in business systems to proactively detect and prevent security incidents.
  • Evaluating and recommending new internal tools for system management and security.
  • Responding to security incidents involving internal business systems.
  • Maintaining recordkeeping for audit purposes and assisting Workato with annual security audits.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working in security engineering and operations teams.
  • Perimeter security experience, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, proxies, email gateways, and URL filtering.
  • Endpoint security experience, including antivirus software, next-generation antivirus, endpoint detection and response, encryption, host-based intrusion prevention systems, and email security.
  • Cloud security experience, including AWS and native security controls in AWS.
  • Knowledge of all domains within security, including people, process, and technology.
  • Solid understanding of security concepts, security policies, risks, and corresponding mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to write bash and Python scripts and automate operations tasks using security automation frameworks.
  • Ability to create and automate incident response plans on internal endpoints and cloud assets.
  • Knowledge of IT operations best practices, including strategies and technologies for monitoring, alerting, automation, and return-to-service.
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts, including incident, change, and problem management, and ticketing tools.
  • Familiarity with MacOS system administration and data warehousing systems, including Snowflake.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 certification or SOC 2 audit is a plus.
  • Security certification, such as CSSLP, CISSP, GIAC, or GSE, is a plus.
