Technical Author Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Author to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in authoring Service Bulletins (SB) for Airbus, with a strong understanding of STD Airframe and Hydro Mech & Cargo domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Author and revise Service Bulletins as per requirements in the SBO
  • Analyze configurations according to Airbus SB standards to identify pre- and post-drawings
  • Familiarize yourself with Airbus standards, including S1000D, iSpec 2200, and ASD STE - 100
  • Perform technical analysis of criteria and related data sources
  • Knowledge of SAP PCS and Authoring Tools in SAMM DACAS, TAKSY, GIDOCA, GYPSY, Airn@V, ZAMIZ, PASS SSCI, APS
  • Understand cold working SBs
  • Aircraft zone and access study to specify work location
  • Follow precise sequences of the Authoring process described in the Quality Plan
  • Estimate timelines and make realistic commitments with project leaders
  • Active participation in customer communication for any queries
  • Analyze, mock-up, and author in Arbor text or Epic editor for SB
  • Maintain quality (RFT) and KPIs for tasks assigned
  • Manage workload and maintain OTD (on-time deliveries) and quality
  • Familiarity with workflow processes like quality checks, INC & DCR
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods like 5 Why and 8D (NCR)

Requirements:

  • B.E / B. Tech in Aeronautics
  • B.E / B. Tech in mechanical engineering with aeronautical engineering industry exposure
  • AME with airline experience and SB authoring experience
