Software Engineer for New Product Development

Job Summary:

As a software engineer at Emerson, you will be responsible for a broad range of engineering tasks in support of our mission to deliver highly reliable products to the market. Your primary focus will be on test case planning, implementation, debugging, and execution to verify embedded firmware functionality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Hands-on experience with front-end languages, including HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, and CSS.
  • Working knowledge of version control, specifically Git Version Control.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, analysis, and design.
  • Experience with the complete software development life cycle and QA processes in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent software development skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to contribute in a team environment.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages, including C++, C#, Python, and Java.
  • Mobile Development Experience (iOS, Android, UWP).
  • Xamarin experience.
  • Experience with NoSQL Databases.
  • Experience with HART and Foundation Fieldbus technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Equivalent Engineering with a focus on programming.
  • Prior embedded test and development experience.
