Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

About the Role:
At ATech, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Analytics and Insights group, you will play a critical role in guiding the planning, assessment, and execution of our content initiatives and the subsequent engagement and learner and student success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement descriptive and predictive analytics to inform content acquisition and prescribe improvements
  • Design and execute A/B testing setups and reporting to measure the impact of diverse tests and product improvements
  • Provide technical guidance to junior Data Scientists and review code, create dashboards, and conduct experimentation
  • Liaise with on-site and client teams to understand business problem statements and analytical requirements
  • Drive the development of machine learning models and identify scope for model improvements and best practices
  • Collaborate with business units to influence strategies and roadmaps through actionable insights
  • Forecast content performance and inform content acquisition and prescribing improvements

Requirements:

  • Experience in descriptive and predictive analytics
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field, or analytics certificate programs from a premier institute
  • Hands-on experience implementing and executing Data Science projects throughout the entire lifecycle
  • Expertise in Sentiment Analysis, Entity extraction, document classification, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Natural Language Generation (NLG)
  • Strong understanding of text preprocessing and normalization techniques such as tokenization
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL querying skills, with experience in data processing using Spark
  • Hands-on experience in data mining with Spark and expertise in commercial data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Spotfire
  • Good understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem
