Risk Analyst & Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

  • Validate internal ratings for corporate, SME, business banking, NBFC, MFI, broker, and bank clients across the institution.
  • Assess credit risk, industry trends, financials, and management to provide accurate credit ratings.
  • Prepare rating rationales and updates on risk scores.
  • Review deviations from the institution's credit policy.
  • Makes recommendations on proposals for the Board-level credit committee regarding policy compliance, portfolio risk, and industry prospects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Credit/Business) in decision-making.
  • Engage effectively with business/credit groups across various segments.
  • Resolve internal audit, external audit, and RBI queries efficiently.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of industry risk scores, including assessments for new industries as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments through seminars, conferences, client site visits, interactions with clients, rating agencies, and industry databases.
  • Benchmark companies within sectors.
  • Manage stakeholders, including senior management from both Credit and Business functions.
  • Develop and implement performance goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensure effective performance management processes.
  • Nurture talent within the team by providing guidance, feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to achieve defined goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-qualification experience in business or credit functions in wholesale/mid-markets segments of a bank or corporate ratings of a credit rating agency is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
  • Able to identify key characteristics and drivers of diverse sectors/businesses.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control.
