Automation Engineer - Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and help us scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

About the Role:

  • This is a hands-on individual contributor position that requires no people management responsibilities.
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and define automation strategies.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts ensuring product quality across different modules.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent deployments.
  • Analyze test failures, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to faster defect resolution.
  • Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies improving test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing only; no manual testing experience required.
  • Strong experience in building automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience with REST API testing and integrating API validations into automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Solid understanding of test design principles, test coverage analysis, and automation strategy.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for test and defect management.
