As a seasoned construction expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of world-class facilities through meticulous project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive cost assessments, forecasts, and tender documents for various projects.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and measurement surveys to accurately determine material and labor requirements.
  • Manage and evaluate contractor quotations, bids, and contracts to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and reporting any cost overruns or risks promptly.
  • Perform value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising on quality and safety.
  • Administer contracts, including variation orders, claims, and dispute resolution in line with contractual terms.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and suppliers for seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for senior management.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in educational or institutional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract law.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
