At Medtronic, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal IT Project Coordinator to join our Global Regions ITMO department. As a key member of our team, you will work independently with general supervision on larger, moderately complex portfolio, program, and project (PPP) assignments to support.

A Day in the Life

We offer a position where you develop and manage all facets regarding supporting activities regarding PPP-initiatives from intake through implementation and closure. You ensure the PPP-initiatives adhere to all Corporate and IT policies and standards and are responsible for effectively managing the constraints of project management: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Quality.

Responsibilities

As a Principal IT Project Coordinator, you will take full responsibility for the supporting activities regarding PPP-initiatives: definition, documentation, and successful completion of PPP supporting activities (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies). You will adopt and adapt project management methods and tools, selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches and translate this to the Medtronic IT-environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure timely delivery & quality of overall reporting and PPP deliverables;
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on budget and resources;
  • Challenge Portfolio, Program, Project and Product Managers with respect to PPP deliverables timeliness, quality, accuracy, and integrity;
  • Prepare financial reporting and analysis;
  • Prepare and lead meetings and make minutes of meeting if required;
  • Consequent follow-up on actions;
  • Timely escalation of issues to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Support different types of projects Salesforce, SAP, Data & Analysis space, etc.;
  • Release management support activities.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor + or Master degree, total 4 to 8 years of IT experience, and minimum 3+ years of relevant experience. You should be fluent in English speaking and writing, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and financial savviness. Additionally, you should have an understanding of PPP systems (PlanView) and methodology like PMP, Prince II, Agile/Scrum, and a broad business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s).

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with clear leadership, self-propelling, and responsiveness. You should be able to communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences, be a quick learner with a strong drive, flexible, pragmatic, structured, and stress-resistant. You should also have a strong sense of responsibility/ownership and be down-to-earth, hands-on, pro-active, and problem-solving attitude.
