Accounting and Finance Leader

This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, management, and execution of all financial and accounting activities across various verticals and geographies.

• Manage and supervise daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, financial modeling, analysis, revenue & expenditure variance analysis, account statement reconciliations, capital asset recognition, and revenue recognition.
• Develop accounting organizational strategies by providing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, aligning functional objectives with organizational goals.
• Establish accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends, setting critical measurements, designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems, and implementing change.
• Collaborate with auditors, consultants, and other functions to ensure smooth operations across all entities and geographies.
• Utilize cost accounting methodologies to identify and track business opportunities.
• Document and maintain business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Optimize ERP, IT, and process efficiency through external vendor partnerships to enhance time, cost, quality, and user-friendliness.
• Reconcile balance sheets to ensure account balances are supported by proper documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate profit and loss statements by ensuring costs are properly matched to revenue and recorded in the correct accounts.
• Taxation involves planning, optimizing, and ensuring timely completion of tax and statutory compliances at all locations without defects. Lead, monitor, and manage indirect and direct taxes, including TDS, GST, Advance Tax, and DTA compliances/governance/regulations.
• Team Management: Mentor and develop team members, delegate responsibilities, provide systems training, set goals, perform performance evaluations, and build a high-performing team.

Requirements:

• Strong experience and expertise in US GAAP, India GAAP, and IFRS finance compliances and tax laws.
• Partner with external international finance and tax consultants on tax/TP structuring.
• Automate finance processes using advanced financial tools and systems.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
• Knowledge of various reporting procedures, regulations, and laws.
• Current knowledge of industry trends, issues, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with multiple locations or handling large field sales financial accounting.
• Prepared and managed profit and loss statements and directly handled various budgets.
• Monitored cash flows, budget expenses, and prepared for IPO/funding events.
• Coordinated internal and external audits.
• Proficient in technology, updated on the latest ERP systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8-15 years of experience in managing and handling accounts with extensive knowledge of financial operations and internal/external audits.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or equivalent.
