About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to join our team at Deepak Group Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petrochemical processes and a proven track record of designing and implementing efficient and safe processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of petrochemical process designs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Operations teams to ensure process requirements are met.
  • Define and review process safety measures, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments for new plant setups.
  • Evaluate and recommend process technologies, modifications, and enhancements for optimized plant performance.
  • Provide technical expertise in commissioning and start-up activities of new units, ensuring smooth handover to operations.
  • Drive adherence to industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for the process team to enhance technical expertise and safety awareness.
  • Lead troubleshooting activities for process-related challenges during commissioning and ramp-up phases.

Post-Project Phase (Head of Central Technical Services Role)

  • Oversee technical services, ensuring optimal plant performance, process reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process innovation and optimization initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement process safety management (PSM) protocols and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for process upsets, failures, and deviations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to drive best practices and standardization across sites.
  • Provide strategic input on process scale-up, debottlenecking, and expansion initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
  • Engage in workforce capability building by mentoring teams and conducting technical training sessions.
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Act as a technical advisor to the leadership team on strategic decisions related to process improvements and sustainability.
