We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft SQL Server DBA to join our dynamic team at Universal Technology Solutions (UEBIZ). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience as an Database Administrator with a strong background in database design, development, and maintenance.

Job Description:

Database Administration:

  • Perform regular database backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage database security, including user roles and permissions, to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Monitor database health and conduct routine maintenance tasks to optimize performance.

Performance Tuning:

  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Implement indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques to improve query performance.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning and query optimization to ensure optimal database performance.

Database Design and Development:

  • Design and develop efficient and scalable SQL databases to meet business requirements.
  • Create and maintain database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions to support business operations.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure fast and reliable data retrieval.

Data Management:

  • Implement data integration and ETL processes to import and export data across systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing robust data validation and quality control processes.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity to ensure business-critical data is accurate and trustworthy.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements.
  • Provide support for data analysis and business intelligence initiatives to drive business growth and innovation.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to effectively use the database.
  • Document database designs, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10 years' experience as an SQL DBA and developer working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other SQL Server tools.
  • Experience in database design, development, and maintenance.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
