About the Job
- Data Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality checks on GIS datasets to ensure data meets project specifications, industry standards, and organizational requirements.
- Error Identification and Correction: Identify errors such as missing data, incorrect attributes, or spatial misalignments and recommend or execute corrective actions to resolve data discrepancies.
- Data Review and Validation: Cross-verify GIS data with source documents, maps, or imagery to ensure alignment with project or legal boundaries and validate data imports and exports for compatibility and completeness.
About You
- Educational Background: Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Cartography, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-6 years of experience in GIS data processing, analysis, or quality assurance with familiarity with spatial data management and quality control processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in GIS software like ArcGIS, QGIS, or PostGIS, strong understanding of spatial data formats, and knowledge of geospatial standards.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, effective communication and documentation abilities, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
