Business Information Security Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) professional to join our team as a Senior GRC Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in implementing Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance systems for clients.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing risks, developing security standards, and evaluating business and IT risks. They will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing clients' information security postures, and delivering work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and participating in client initiatives to reduce technology risk, improve governance, and enhance compliance with policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Evaluating business and IT risks to identify areas for improvement.
- Developing IT security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks and improve client security positioning through process improvement, policy automation, and continuous evolution of capabilities.
- Staying current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
The following qualifications are preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
- Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards.
- Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
- Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
- Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
