About the Role

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling our applications using modern Java and Spring Boot. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and passion for solving complex challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design, as well as proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.

  • Design and Implement Scalable Solutions: Develop efficient and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Optimize Database Performance: Manage and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on performance, schema design, and query tuning.
  • Build Reliable Systems: Work with AWS SQS to create asynchronous, event-driven workflows that ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead and Mentor Junior Engineers: Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and guide junior engineers to improve their skills.
  • Take End-to-End Ownership of Features: From gathering requirements and design to deployment and monitoring, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality features.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong Foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms: Proven experience with data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with AWS SQS or other messaging queues.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
