Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal postings, and allocations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage fixed assets (leases and intangibles) accounting and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Post bank-related journals, perform reconciliations, and prepare various reports to support financial decision-making.
  • Review P2P and O2C accounting, reconciliations, journals, and quality metrics to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with local reporting requirements (IFRS/US GAAP) and ensure timely submission to the consolidation team.
  • Provide support to countries for quality submission of reporting packs and ensure country-level reporting packs are submitted on time.
  • Eliminate intercompany transactions, process intercompany cost allocations, and ensure approved contracts are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare intercompany aging reports and circulate to stakeholders.
  • Submit consolidated financials after eliminations and checks with the corporate team.
  • Collect and create backup for all topside journals posted.
  • Perform checks on investments reported in books against audited financials of associates and JVs.
  • Support external and internal audits with documentation, archive retrieval, journal walkthroughs, and other audit requirements under the Operational Controller.
  • Maintain internal process documentation to reflect the most up-to-date ways of work.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are operationalized and consistent with Global Financial Controlling expectations.
  • Collaborate with Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Business Finance (FP&A), treasury, banking, and other teams on processes and systems.
  • Provide support to internal audit for internal control or audit purposes.

About the Role

A successful Senior Financial Analyst will achieve a balanced coordination and seamless execution of all R2R, intercompany, financial statements preparation activities, including group consolidation. The ideal candidate will have delivered on process governance and dashboard, met or exceeded expectations of related metrics/dashboard, and ensured solid controls are in place to provide quality packs to the corporate.

Requirements

  • A semi-qualified accountant with 5+ years' experience or a qualified accountant with 2+ years' corporate experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting of a multinational company/consulting firm.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP module is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts under IFRS/GAAP.
  • Advance Excel working knowledge.
  • PowerPoint experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation: good listening and communication skills.
