Programme Leadership Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our organisation's programme portfolio by designing, steering, and scaling impactful initiatives with emphasis on effective planning, cross-sectoral integration, and outcome-oriented delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact, leveraging expertise from implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations.
  • Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals, providing guidance to project teams to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Engage with stakeholders to strengthen programme outcomes, representing the organisation in external forums as required.
  • Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles, promoting a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  • Evaluate progress, capture lessons, and adapt strategies to ensure effective systems for tracking and improvement.
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products, contributing inputs to budget planning and monitoring utilisation in assigned programme areas.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities, with demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
