A Mobile Application Developer Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
  • Work as a forward-deployed engineer, collaborating with product and operations teams to solve problems in real-time.
  • Efficiently use AI-powered tools to accelerate code development, refactoring, and debugging.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
  • Embrace a culture of rapid development, continuous integration, and fearless experimentation.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivation: Take ownership of your work and find solutions without needing constant oversight.
  • Adaptability: Be comfortable with change and prepared to pivot when necessary.
  • Technical skills: Have a solid foundation in React Native and Expo, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience building and shipping mobile apps.
  • A 'can-do' attitude: Be willing to get your hands dirty and push through challenges.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in mobile app development, specifically with React Native and Expo.
  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, MobX).
  • Experience with or a strong desire to learn about integrating and leveraging AI tools in your workflow (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • A portfolio or examples of previous work (personal projects, open-source contributions) are a big plus.
