Job Title: Cost Estimator

The role of the Cost Estimator is a vital one, responsible for accurately calculating and updating the costs of components, sub-assemblies, and products for new projects. This involves providing productivity targets through product value analysis and ensuring that cost evaluations of new products are shared and accepted by the manufacturing plant.

Key Objectives:

  • Calculate the detailed cost of a new product as per Schneider Electric Methodology
  • Make sure that cost evaluation of a new product is shared and accepted by the manufacturing plant
  • Follow up and update costs during project stage gates
  • Alerts in case of deviation

Responsibilities:

  • Track potential savings through product cost analysis
  • Compare different techno-industrial solutions and find out the best through ROI calculation
  • Collect data from all Schneider electric sources, including France and other countries, and consolidate them
  • Bring challenges for cost reduction by fixing aggressive but achievable targets
  • Use all SE Cost database (Scala, Bridge, etc.) to generate, update, and organize a cost database
  • Perform value analysis on existing products and set targets to achieve productivity
  • Estimate cost for parts of products localization or rebalancing
  • If needed, calculate products margin or localization rate
  • Execute Design to Cost level 1 in Projects and complete teardown for Schneider and Competitor products
  • Costing of all components (Plastics, Metals, PCBA)

Requirements:

  • Graduate with Finance as Primary Subject
  • Advance Financial course
  • Costing experience: 12-15 yrs
  • Experience in Costing and Accounting
  • Financial proficiency
  • Schedule: Full-time
