Project Lead Embedded

This is a leadership role that requires accountability for product engineering services delivery. As a project lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of hardware and software engineers to work together to deliver complex projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effort estimation and daily progress on each project
  • Tracking the project's progress by using the project plan and schedule as a basis
  • Individual contribution in hardware and firmware development to speed up the development work
  • Maintaining cross-functional project plans for each project
  • Identifying and communicating issues appropriately
  • Defining product development work and assigning to respective engineers responsible to complete work within the timeline
  • Ensuring the updating of team knowledge with respect to the latest in electronics development
  • Being the customer interfacing person for all project deliveries on behalf of the company
  • Tracking, analyzing, and monitoring technology performance metrics
  • Taking the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
  • Kickoff projects and performing team alignment
  • Planning for resources, skills, and training required, estimation, FMEA, PQA activities, reuse reviews, risk management, testing, measures, and metrics milestone meet process tailoring, and soon
  • Creating process documents as needed
  • Ensuring that all deliverables assigned to team members are completed according to planned dates and with expected quality

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in product engineering services
  • 3 years of experience as an embedded lead development in hardware and firmware
  • Experience in IoT-based embedded products
  • Experience in system-level debugging, reverse engineering, Linux internals, protocol-level knowledge of interfaces
  • Able to execute 3 or more projects/products development works simultaneously
  • Able to manage a 20-25 member engineering team and resolve technical and people issues
  • Have experience in EMI/EMC and IP-grade embedded product design
  • Experience in certification process for UL, FCC, and CE
  • Strong in C/C++ embedded system development skills with 5-10 years of proven experience in developing and debugging applications in an embedded system
  • Strong in trouble shooting hands-on with lab instruments like oscilloscope, function generator, power supply, etc.
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies in medium to large-scale embedded systems development projects

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Experience: 5-7 years in mixed-signal product design
