Senior Merchandising Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Merchandising Manager will oversee procurement activities, develop and launch garments in the market, ensure smooth production processes, and optimize inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and materials.
- Develop and launch self-designed garments from job workers/suppliers based on market trends.
- Oversight operations within the manufacturing unit to guarantee adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular forecasting and analysis to optimize inventory levels and anticipate future supply needs.
- Develop and implement strategies for future assortments based on market trends and consumer demand.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure on-time delivery from suppliers, factories, and job workers and also dispatch till stores.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Designing or related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years in buying and merchandising department, preferably in a senior role.
- Experience in retail and export sector both will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast future trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership qualities with experience in managing a team.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
