Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate to join our team. As an Associate, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and direct tax advisory services on complex issues such as mergers, demergers, spin-offs, business transfers, etc.
  • Preparation and review of transaction documentation
  • Conducting direct tax due diligence
  • International tax advisory with a focus on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS (MLI), General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), domestic tax laws, and FEMA/regulatory issues.
  • Inbound and outbound structuring
  • Treaty interpretations
  • Research on various income-tax issues, including preparation of cases for opinions, briefing senior counsels on complex direct tax issues
  • Preparing deliverables in the form of slide decks, opinions, notes, and memoranda
  • Assistance with direct tax litigation, including drafting submissions and briefing senior counsels

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
