CAD Design Position Overview
We are a technology startup working on advanced sensing and navigation technologies. Our team integrates mechanical, electronic, and optical systems into compact, high-performance devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design enclosures, mounts, and housings for compact multi-component hardware.
- Incorporate mounting points, ventilation, cable routing, and weight optimization into designs.
- Prepare STEP, DXF, and annotated drawings for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs meet mechanical, thermal, and assembly requirements.
- Iterate designs based on testing feedback to achieve reliable and robust builds.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
- 2+ years of CAD design experience (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Knowledge of 3D printing, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong skills in dimensioning, tolerancing, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced prototyping cycles.
