Job Description

CountHQ is a fast-growing outsourcing company that partners with leading Australian accounting firms, CPA firms, businesses, and financial advisors. We specialize in delivering high-quality accounting services and are seeking a dynamic Tax Accountant to fill this role.

This Tax Accountant position involves preparing tax returns for individuals and companies, including Australian Company, Partnership, Trust, and Group tax returns, financial statements, and working papers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Australian tax regulations and be proficient in utilizing popular software used for Australian tax, specifically Xero.

In addition to technical skills, the successful Tax Accountant will participate in ongoing training and development processes to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Australian tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • Utilize Xero software to manage and process tax-related tasks.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be considered for this Tax Accountant position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional working experience of at least 6 months in Indian/UK/Australian Tax Preparation, TDS Returns, GST Returns, or Articleship.
  • Academic qualifications such as M.Com, CS, CA (or inter-CA), or equivalent; outstanding BCom candidates with solid technical acumen are welcome.

Work Environment:

  • 5-day work week (Monday to Friday)
  • 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (IST)
