Key Leadership Role: Engineering Chapter Area Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Chapter Area Lead to join our organization. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will play a crucial role in defining the technical roadmap and ensuring alignment with our enterprise architecture, data standards, and modernization priorities.

• Technical Roadmap: Define and implement a technical roadmap that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
• Squad Enablement: Facilitate squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.
• Planning and Design: Develop solutions that meet our business needs and ensure sound architectural decisions.
• Crew Tech Capability: Work with chapter leads to define and forecast crew tech capability requirements and support implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the crew.
• Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence and support teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
• Good Design: Ensure good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination, making technical debt and associated impacts visible to the crew and working with POs to reduce it over time.
• Delivery Management: Ensure delivery within funding allocation, active management, and mitigation of delivery and delivered risk.
• Team Leadership: Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of a number of Technology roles, including Software and Systems Engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Large-Scale Distributed Systems: Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
• Cloud Experience: Cloud experience, preferably with AWS large-scale data warehouse implementation.
• Scalable Solutions: Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
• AI/ML: Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity.
• Agentic AI Systems: You will have experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks and preferably have experience building Agentic AI systems using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
• AI Coding Assistants: A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.
• Anthropic Claude: Knowledge of or experience in Anthropic Claude, Llama, LiteLLM, Cursor, windsurf/Codeium, VO Vercel, Continue, Aider, Cline, Langchain, Langgraph, Hugging Face will be highly desirable.
• Technical Leadership: Strong technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems.
• Agile Development: Proficiency in agile development methodologies and iterative experimentation from ideation to prototype to pilot to product.
