Job Description:

At our organization, we're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data platforms using various cloud services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with key cloud data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Databricks. They will possess strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Spark (PySpark, Scala). A solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts is also essential.

You will work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and product owners, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills, are necessary to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the cloud data platform. You will also develop and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data warehouses and data lakes. Additionally, you will manage data storage and organization within the cloud data lake storage service.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of proven experience with key cloud data services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • CI/CD: Experience with version control systems like Git and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
