Lead Interior Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Interior Design Engineer to lead the development of interior design solutions for our vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative interior trim solutions that meet our quality, performance, and cost targets.

Job Description:

The Lead Interior Design Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to develop interior design solutions that meet our business requirements. This includes designing and developing interior trim components, ensuring they meet our quality and performance standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of interior design solutions that meet our quality, performance, and cost targets
  • Design and develop innovative interior trim components that meet our quality and performance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into our vehicles
  • Develop and maintain design validation plans to ensure our interior design solutions meet our business requirements
  • Lead failure mode avoidance activities to identify and mitigate potential failures in our interior design solutions

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in interior design engineering
  • Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality & attribute targets
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability of communicating with cross functional teams and influencing at all levels
  • PC literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
