Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer Job Overview

Our organization seeks a seasoned Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team and spearhead the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.

  • We are looking for an expert in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer, and others.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will set up ECS/EKS clusters, configure deployments, and implement performance-based scaling.
  • Automation of infrastructure setup using Terraform and CloudFormation is also expected.
  • The selected individual will establish new environments based on specific landing page requirements and industry best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, including configuring roles, policies, and user groups is essential.
  • Experience with RDS databases (MySQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and managing intranet user access is required.
  • A strong understanding of network configurations using services such as VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Route 53, WAF, etc., is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in DevOps and CI/CD processes is highly valued.
  • Proficiency with Bitbucket/GitHub for pipeline creation and familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira is desired.

Additional Skills:

  • A strong background in cost analysis and resource optimization is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable in using Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, and tagging for granular cost insights is a plus.
