SSIS Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SSIS developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with SSIS and SSAS, as well as a strong understanding of data modeling concepts.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, with proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server. Additionally, they should have experience with performance tuning of ETL processes and be familiar with BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.

As an SSIS developer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust ETL processes using SSIS, developing OLAP cubes and tabular models using SSAS for business intelligence reporting, and building and optimizing data models to support analytical and reporting needs.

The candidate must also ensure data quality and consistency across all platforms, work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements, monitor and improve ETL performance, and document technical processes and data flows.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSAS
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses
  • Proficient in T-SQL and SQL Server
  • Experience with performance tuning of ETL processes

Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based data services, knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
