Data Infrastructure and Insights Professional

This is a hybrid role that requires strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and data pipelines, as well as the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Job Description:

The Data Infrastructure and Insights Professional will play a key role in building and maintaining EduFinance's data infrastructure while delivering insightful analysis through Power BI and Excel. The role is a combination of data engineering and analytics, requiring expertise in designing, building, and maintaining robust ETL pipelines, as well as administration and optimization of the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and APIs.
  • Administer and optimize the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure to ensure high-quality, clean, and well-documented data.
  • Implement and maintain data quality controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Manage special data projects as EduFinance expands into new areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in SQL development and database administration experience (Azure SQL preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency with APIs and data integration methods.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros a plus).
  • Expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard/report design).
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
