Job Role Summary

As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for addressing limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process. This includes incorporating feedback into 3D model designs to enhance overall design quality.

The role requires creativity and technical skills to develop innovative solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of your designs with other project components.

  • Develop detailed 2D or 3D designs using software tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, and NX.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze design concepts to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during the production phase.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on design concepts to improve overall design quality.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and UAV technology to improve design capabilities and efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the improvement of design processes.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CAD engineering with a focus on design principles.
  • Familiarity with aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, and NX.
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within project deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
