Technical Lead

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead to lead our QA team in designing, developing and executing comprehensive test plans.
  • The successful candidate will define and implement QA strategies, frameworks and best practices aligned with project requirements and business goals.
  • Candidates should have strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies, hands-on experience with automation tools and proficiency in test management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA team in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Define and implement QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices aligned with project requirements and business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product management, and operations teams to ensure quality at all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Drive automation efforts using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
  • Monitor test coverage and metrics, reporting on quality status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvements in QA methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide input to improve testability and quality.
  • Manage defect tracking, triaging, and resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and API testing is a plus.
  • Proficient in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, or similar.
  • Good understanding of Agile and DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and leading QA teams.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced, CSTE) are an advantage.
