Role Overview

The SAP Materials Management Consultant will play a key role in implementing and supporting the SAP MM module within an organization.

  • Configure and implement SAP MM modules in alignment with business requirements
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze current business processes and map them to SAP solutions
  • Conduct workshops and interviews to gather business requirements and document functional specifications
  • Support integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules and third-party systems
  • Lead testing efforts, identify issues, and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Provide training to end-users and offer post-implementation support to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Assist in the change management process and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements
Key Responsibilities

Implementing and configuring SAP MM modules to align with business requirements is a crucial task for this role. Working closely with stakeholders to analyze and map business processes to SAP solutions is also essential. Conducting workshops and interviews to gather requirements and document specifications is another critical aspect of this job. Additionally, integrating SAP MM with other modules and third-party systems requires strong technical skills.

Leading testing efforts, identifying issues, and resolving them in a timely manner is also a key responsibility. Providing training to end-users and offering post-implementation support to troubleshoot and resolve issues is also important. Assisting in the change management process and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems is also a key task.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting SAP MM module in at least 1-2 full-cycle SAP implementations
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration, including purchasing, inventory management, material master data, procurement, and invoice verification processes
  • In-depth understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and materials planning within SAP MM
  • Experience with integration of SAP MM with other modules like SD, FICO, WM, PP, and third-party systems
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA versions
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems, offer innovative solutions, and configure SAP MM accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations is a plus.
