Chief Technology Officer Job Description

This is a strategic leadership position that will oversee the development and implementation of technology solutions for a global logistics and freight forwarding platform. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading the evolution of the company's technological foundation and driving innovation in supply chain operations worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Technology. They will also have experience in logistics tech, freight forwarding systems or transportation/supply chain software, and proven experience overseeing the design and delivery of SaaS products in B2B environments.

The successful candidate will possess technical depth in cloud platforms, system architecture, and full-stack development, as well as demonstrated ability to scale engineering organizations and lead distributed teams across regions. They will also have strong grasp of Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional team leadership, with excellent communication skills to influence and inspire at all levels.
