Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using the Google Cloud stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction & Analysis:
  • Develop scripts in Python, Go, or Perl to extract, transform, and update datasets.
  • Work with Google BigQuery / Google SQL to query and manipulate data.
  • Experience with MapReduce frameworks is an advantage.
  • Data Visualization:
  • Create effective visualizations to present findings and communicate insights clearly.
  • Build reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
  • Problem Solving & Pipeline Development:
  • Identify data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines.
  • Use data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance query performance.
  • Apply techniques such as Indexing, Partitioning, Parallel Processing, Caching, Efficient Storage Formats (Parquet/ORC), and In-memory Computing.
  • Scheduling & Automation:
  • Schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow, Dreampipe, or similar job schedulers.
  • Release Engineering:
  • Support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform and associated services.
