Financial Operations Specialist

Key to our organization's financial success is the Financial Operations Specialist. This critical role oversees a range of functions, including account reconciliations, accounts payable/receivables, and customer billing.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure business transactions are accurately reported in accordance with accounting principles by maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to support payables and receivables processes.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, including the preparation of financial statements and related notes.
  • Investigate and analyze expense variances for senior management.
  • Manage Accounts Payables & Receivables effectively.
  • Provide valuable financial insights to senior management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Document financial transactions by entering accurate account information.
  • Make informed financial recommendations by analyzing accounting options.
  • Synthesize current financial status by collecting relevant information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintain effective accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information.
  • Prioritize financial security by implementing robust database backups.
  • Protect financial information by adhering to confidentiality agreements.
  • Process payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Respond to accounting procedure queries by conducting research and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by staying informed about legislative changes and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Generate special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Preserve customer confidence and maintain operational security by safeguarding confidential financial information.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts to inform organizational decision-making.
