Automation Support Specialist

As an automation support specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the automation of workflow and backup processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain automation workflows and backup processes
  • Assist in compliance reporting and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Develop basic automation scripts using Python, Ansible, and Shell scripting languages

BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF BACKBOX, CCNA, AND COMPTIA SECURITY+ CERTIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.

Career Progression
  • Progress to a Network Automation Engineer/Consultant role after 4-6 years of experience
  • Deploy and manage automation and compliance, automate network/security tasks, and troubleshoot workflows and backup integrity
  • Hands-on experience with Backbox, Python, Ansible, Shell, and networking basics are necessary

CCNP, ITIL, AND AUTOMATION FRAMEWORKS (TERRAFORM) ARE ALSO DESIRABLE SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION.

Senior Roles
  • Senior Automation Engineer/Led roles require 7-12 years of experience and expertise in Backbox, DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and CCIE, DevNet Expert, ITIL Expert certifications
  • Senior Automation Architect/Consultant roles involve architecting enterprise automation frameworks with Backbox, defining governance, compliance, and standards, and mentoring junior engineers
