Senior Architectural Project Lead

The ideal candidate will be a qualified architect who is able to construct clear diagrams using AutoCAD. This candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution.

This individual should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis in order to ensure regulations are being followed. Responsibilities include analysing architectural designs and plans, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and government regulations, researching and inquiring about different materials, supervising Junior Architects and assigning them tasks, scheduling and delivering at skill enhancement workshops, explaining design requirements and specifications to Builders, Electricians, and Technicians, communicating project status and completion timelines to the clients, preparing building models and structure plans, conducting mockup sessions, guiding the construction project from start to finish, presenting project briefs to clients, understanding the clients' requirements/preferences and environmental impacts on the construction project, creating blueprints and making alterations based on the feedback from the client, developing projects by adhering to the specified timeline, undertaking regular site visits and inspections, developing and interpreting a range of structural designs, acting as mentors, managers, and advisors, controlling projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design, demonstrating creativity, foresight, and architectural judgment in developing architectural solutions, producing construction documents using REVIT, understanding construction assemblies and best practices, actively coordinating design and equipment with consultants and other disciplines, researching and selecting building products and composing written specifications, participating in project meetings and documenting discussions through meeting minutes, actively participating in quality assurance/quality control review sessions at project milestones, compiling all documentation required to submit projects to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for review and approval, tracking submissions and responding to comments and requests from AHJs as required to obtain permits, managing project through Construction Administration phase by routing RFIs and shop drawings to the appropriate team member, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, issuing ASIs and RFPs, and reviewing pay applications, travelling to and visiting project construction sites to observe construction progress and compose field report, continually learning and staying informed of new systems, methods, and sustainable practices to benefit the collective team and clients, actively supporting strategic goals of the firm, studio, department, and manager, as well as understanding how your actions contribute to them, being self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate and maintain positive working relationships with other design professionals, possessing excellent problem-solving skills and independent thinking with good listening skills and strong follow-through, possessing excellent graphic, communication, organisational, and collaborative skills, having willingness to work on a variety of project types, building typologies, and architectural styles, having strong proficiency modelling in REVIT and SketchUp, growing understanding of building codes and how to apply them, maintaining C-P/Client standards and QC throughout projects, assisting PM in setting scope and budget, assisting clients' interests in public hearings and meetings, capable of serving as the main P.O.C. for a project or running projects, assisting in providing full CA services, assisting in proposal preparation, running projects with minimal oversight from PM/PA, producing designs, CDs, and having an understanding of specs, completing scope within allotted time/budget, managing permitting process/response to comments, managing bidding procedures, field assistance with CA, researching and applying applicable codes/contact with AHJs, coordinating with other disciplines, runs kickoff meeting, main P.O.C. with limited input from PM or Principal, coordinating Owner revisions, RFIs, and AHJ comments, coordinating Peer review and QC of documents, designing & producing architectural designs/CDs/specifications, checking completed work against markups prior to returning to PA, incorporating C-P/Client drafting standards and conventions into CDs, preparing plans and details from sketches/redlines, receiving and sending drawings electronically
