Job Title: Site Head for Controls and Assurance
- Responsibilities include managing a large team of 60+ members, overseeing local escalations, identifying high-performing talent, and leading reviews involving global team members.
- The Site Head will also be responsible for managing audits, visits by regulators, and vendor risks associated with outsourcing activities to India.
- Developing relationships with broader DB management in India is also a key aspect of the role.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering Management Information to inform Senior Management on pertinent matters, in line with global Deutsche Bank standards.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in building and heading Compliance and/or Financial Crime testing functions/teams in a large financial institution.
- Good understanding of Compliance/AFC Risks and controls, including ability to test adequacy and effectiveness of Risk Management frameworks.
- Strong people management skills, able to deal with diverse teams and attract/retain talent.
- Problem-solving skills, including ability to quickly understand complex issues and set course of action.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, including interviewing, testing, and analysis.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proactive approach, seeking solutions without being prompted, within an appropriate matrix management framework.
- Very strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently with minimum direction.
- Assertive and engaging, with ability to quickly build and maintain effective working relationships.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
