Murex Support Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Murex system specialist to join our team in providing comprehensive support for our production systems, focusing on the Murex 3.1 platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure various Murex system aspects, including datamart, MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, RTBS, and MDCS.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and verify requirements.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience.
  • Adhere to client SDLC lifecycle and documentation requirements.
  • Support IT and business audits, as well as technology risk assessments.
  • Develop and test database and infrastructure changes.
  • Perform technical reviews of production changes.
  • Document issues and resolutions in Confluence.
  • Maintain and enhance the Control-M scheduling tool for intraday and end-of-day batches.
  • Communicate directly with business users across the bank to analyze and diagnose business-critical issues.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to risk, pricing, PnL, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, and reporting.
  • Provide detailed information about issues to vendors and coordinate testing fixes/solutions.
  • Act as an intermediary between business and vendor teams.
  • Debug and enhance bespoke Java processes supporting the Murex implementation.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience with Murex in a support capacity. Additionally, strong technical capability and a solid understanding of DataMart are essential.
