Senior Legal Executive

">Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Legal Team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in litigation and corporate law, as well as excellent research skills.

This role involves conducting thorough legal research, drafting notices, liaising with external counsels, maintaining cause-lists, assisting with case management, and performing groundwork on registration of Lease Deeds, Service Agreements, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation for trials and hearings, including drafting Notices, Plaints, Written Statements, Synopsis, and organizing evidence and exhibits
  • Collaborate with external counsels, including senior advocates and their teams, on case strategy and pleadings
  • Maintain cause-lists tracker and keep management updated on the status of cases
  • Maintain and organize legal files and documentation
  • Attend hearings and take adjournments/certified copies as needed, handle authorities visiting the company's premises, visit police stations to file cases/FIRs, etc. as required
  • Coordinate end-to-end process for Registration of Agreements in Sub Registrar's Office
  • Peruse Notices received from customers, police, government departments, vendors, etc., and draft responses by coordinating with relevant departments, represent before authorities as in-house counsel
  • Actively coordinate with other functional areas for day-to-day legal matters such as issuance of notices, recovery of payments, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to practice areas by researching statutes, regulations, and case laws

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • LLB degree from a reputable college
  • 3-4 years of litigation handling experience in a reputable law firm or corporate environment
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Livelaw, Manu Patra, Westlaw, LexisNexis)
