Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage ETL Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design, develop, and implement complex data pipelines using IBM Infosphere Datastage.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing client requirements, preparing technical specifications, and performing implementation activities. They will also be expected to develop automated scripts for support and monitoring production activities.
  • A key aspect of this role is mentoring team members, ensuring timely quality deliveries, and providing guidance on technical and business aspects.
  • The Datastage ETL Specialist will also be responsible for gathering requirements in business terms from clients and translating them into technical terms.
  • They will handle support activities such as incidents, service requests, and problem records, and provide on-call support for production requests.
  • The specialist will perform unit and system testing, coordinate with the testing team, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • They will also document the entire project process flow from end to end, perform peer review, and identify defects in testing.
  • Furthermore, the Datastage ETL Specialist will provide project-related training for new resources and prepare knowledge documents to aid in their understanding of the project.
  • Lastly, they will conduct defect prevention analysis at the application level to reduce repetitive issues.
