Lead Research Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Research Engineer to spearhead a team of researchers and engineers in developing cutting-edge solutions at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and image processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team to drive impactful projects from concept to deployment.
  • Define project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Research & Development:

  • Design, implement, and optimize deep learning algorithms for tasks such as detection, segmentation, tracking, and recognition.
  • Drive innovation in medical imaging, industrial inspection, and AI-powered automation.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and publications in AI and vision technologies.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (data science, software, product).
  • Presentation of results to stakeholders, technical reports, and support for publications/patent filings.
  • Representation of the team in conferences, client meetings, and technical collaborations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science & Engineering or related fields.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in AI, computer vision, and image processing, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/mentorship role.
  • Strong track record in developing and deploying deep learning models.
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and related libraries.
  • Experience with MLOps, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and model optimization.
