Lead Data Science Visionary

We are seeking an exceptional senior director of data science to spearhead and innovate within our organization. This role will drive thought leadership, customer engagement, and cutting-edge AI/ML solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, supply chain expertise, and a passion for solving complex problems through innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap Development & Innovation
    • Provide strategic input into the data science roadmap to align with our long-term goals.
    • Explore and implement new data science methodologies and generative AI techniques to enhance product offerings.
  • Thought Leadership Collateral
    • Develop whitepapers, case studies, and presentations showcasing our data science capabilities.
    • Represent us at conferences, webinars, and industry events to establish thought leadership in AI/ML for supply chain management.
  • Sales, Customer Retention & POCs
    • Partner with sales teams to demonstrate the value of our solutions to prospective clients through POCs and technical deep dives.
    • Collaborate with customers to ensure retention by delivering impactful AI/ML-driven insights and solutions tailored to their needs.
    • Act as a trusted advisor for customers, ensuring alignment between their business objectives and our data science strategies.
  • Data Science Projects
    • Lead the execution of high-impact data science projects from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Oversee the development of scalable AI/ML models and prototypes that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making for customers.
    • Mentor and guide a team of data scientists to achieve technical excellence and foster innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD or Masters in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: overall 18+ years of experience and have proven experience in applying machine learning, deep learning, and data analysis within the supply chain domain.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in Generative AI techniques, prototyping, SQL, R, and Python for statistical analysis and programming.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Strong ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
