Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Digital Media Content Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies aligned with editorial goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for curating, creating, and scheduling engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. They will collaborate with the editorial team to repurpose and promote news articles, opinion pieces, interviews, features, and multimedia content relevant to current affairs, politics, education, careers, and culture.

The role involves monitoring social media channels for trending topics, breaking news, and reader engagement. The candidate will respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, fostering a community around our social media presence.

The selected candidate will track and analyze key social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and traffic to the website. They will prepare regular reports on social media performance and provide actionable insights to the editorial team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
