Job Description:
The Procurement Assistant Manager at Sun Life plays a vital role in ensuring the company's procurement activities are efficient, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in procurement, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in procurement systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing services and goods from trusted vendors
  • Raising error-free Purchase Requisitions in SAP Ariba per business requirement, vendor contract, and Finance requirement
  • Maintaining and managing Purchase Orders by collaborating with the business
  • Troubleshooting invoice issues with the business and Accounts Payable team to ensure invoices are paid on time
  • Providing constant, clear, and timely updates to internal customers and supporting supplier onboarding processes
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Leading, mentoring, and training the procurement team to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Analyzing procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and providing regular reports to senior management
  • Ensuring all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals and objectives

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement
  • Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
