Lead Risk Modelling Analyst

This is a key leadership role in our Credit Ratings team, focusing on the development and validation of quantitative models that support credit rating decisions, risk assessments, and financial forecasts.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and refine statistical and econometric models to enhance our credit rating methodologies. This includes building models for key risk parameters such as Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Expected Loss (EL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced statistical and econometric models to support credit rating decisions.
  • Develop and maintain complex data-driven systems to validate and refine existing models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop macroeconomic scenario analysis and stress testing frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Economics.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk models, financial instruments, and portfolio risk dynamics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III/IV.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in credit risk modelling, model validation, or quantitative analysis within a credit rating agency, bank, or financial institution.
  • Prior experience working in a Credit Rating Agency is highly valued.
