About the role:

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for curating and developing engaging content focused on education, careers, innovations, student initiatives, and campus life.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with senior management on content strategy, team performance, and editorial planning.

  • Developing fresh story ideas and supporting in conducting interviews and field reporting.
  • Coordinating with designers and digital teams to ensure timely and quality content delivery.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of writers and interns to ensure quality and consistency across all content.
  • Ensuring all content aligns with the editorial guidelines and tone.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A master's degree in journalism, mass communication, or a related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in journalism, preferably with a focus on education, youth, or career-related content.
  • Strong editing, writing, and storytelling skills with impeccable grammar.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • A keen interest in the education system and youth affairs.
Key Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in education journalism or content creation for student-centric platforms.
  • Exposure to multimedia content creation (video/audio/newsletters) will be a plus.
