IoT Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled IoT software engineer to join our team and help us build scalable, available, and resilient cloud solutions for IoT applications.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IoT technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain IoT applications and solutions using Azure PaaS, Node.js, Vue.js, and Python.
  • Develop cloud-based solutions with Azure and work autonomously to oversee and participate in architectural design and development.
  • Implement device provisioning techniques and develop custom device provisioning services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet project needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Deploy solutions using Azure App Services and Docker containerization.
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks as required.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve them efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software development and IoT technologies.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with cloud solution architecture, including scalability, availability, and resilience.
  • IoT related software development background, including distributed systems, device connectivity, and protocols (HTTP, MQTT).
  • Experience with communication encryption (TLS, PKI, Digital Signature).
  • Azure IoT and Azure IoT Edge-based architecture and developing solutions for the same.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js, GraphQL, and Express.js for backend development.
  • Proficiency in Vue.js and its core principles for frontend development.
  • Database knowledge, including Timeseries, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, database design, and querying.
  • RESTful APIs, including design and development, and integration with frontend applications.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes K8s.
  • Powershell and Azure CLI.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Azure/Edge hosted solutions.

Additional Requirements:

  • 15% travel, including global travel.
  • Occasional on-call work required.
  • 12pm - 9pm India time.
  • Willigness to work outside of these hours as needed.
