Job Title: Cloud Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake professional to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud data environment.

  • Manage Snowflake accounts, users, roles, and permissions following Role-Based Access Control principles.
  • Monitor query performance, optimize warehouses, and tune workloads to ensure efficient execution.
  • Oversee databases, schemas, tables, and data pipelines in Snowflake.
  • Implement security best practices including encryption, data masking, network policies, and audit logging.
  • Develop scripts for monitoring, alerting, and automating administrative tasks (SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Track warehouse utilization, storage, and query performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Manage compute and storage costs by monitoring consumption and implementing optimization strategies.
  • Apply patches, monitor Snowflake updates, and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Support integrations with ETL/ELT tools, Business Intelligence platforms, and cloud services.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Snowflake configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Snowflake Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake features: Virtual Warehouses, Clustering, Time Travel, Data Sharing, Resource Monitors, Tasks, Streams.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and integrations.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools.
  • Knowledge of data security & governance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.

  • SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Datadog, Splunk, or other monitoring tools is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps / CI-CD pipelines for data workflows is desirable.
